Hi Lynn :) I suck - meant to answer and got busy.

I'm glad you came to find me - FB probably showed it, but they deleted it when I deleted my account. I miss talking to you, ya know...

And we can do video Skype ;) Just let me know. Would be awesome!

I don't know if you cross-posted this to FB--if you did, my home feed decided not to show it to me--but I must love you tons because it took me less than two days to notice your absence and go looking for you (first in my friends list--where you are now conspicuously missing--and then here). :) I'm still resisting Twitter, but if you update regularly enough there, I might finally give in. (You clearly have no idea how much I've enjoyed having a window into your days.) Either way, we are all about the video skype in my house, so you holler if you want to visit virtually face to face. :)

Thanks for the support, Diego :) I had to be talked into starting it, so it's sort of sad that it took me this long to delete it. Now, to ensure none of my devices/applications try to log in so that it reactivates my account... (I changed the password to something heinous to prevent that ;)

I hate that. That'd creep me out. Not that there's any reason they *wouldn't* use private information in ads (though they *shouldn't*), but that's way uncool.

(Congrats to your sister, btw ;)

I'm hoping I can rebuild my attention span and start reading blogs again ;) The only reason I'd missed your recent posts was that I wasn't even using a feed reader anymore to keep up.

Lame. :)

Come to the dark side, Ben :)

I'll miss talking to you too. So, seriously, come to the dark side. Or, you know, stop by here or my inbox and say hi.

Good for you Krista! I deleted my FB account about two years ago and never looked back. I don't regret it for a second.

I totally understand. I have been struggling with the same thing for a while, now. My sister is 12 weeks pregnant with her first baby and noticed that she has started getting ads geared to pregnant women/babies in her sidebar. She has only ever alluded to her pregnancy in private messages to me. Scary, hey.

Ah, Krista! I completely understand and have been struggling with the same thing for months. But I will miss seeing your posts and comments. I only have about 130 FB friends and just 20 who I regularly respond to and you were one of them. You may be forcing me to embrace the one thing even I have resisted so far-TWITTER.

Ok folks, given that it is now nearly two years after I wrote this post, I'm going to close down comments. "UPS sucks" and variants thereof are still some of the top hits for my blog, which is certainly not my fault - if the organization doesn't take it seriously and individual employees are inclined to bash those who complain (I do find it interesting that many of them have arrived via queries which are negative about UPS, which means either they are trolling or not being entirely straightforward), I can do nothing to fix that.

Customers and employees have a right to express their dissatisfaction, and others have the right to disagree. However, I think this thread has gone on long enough, given that I only see a UPS man here in Germany once in a blue moon. (I will say, however, that DHL here in Germany has never once delivered me a damaged package, and they do bring in packages to the door, even if they are heavy, so take that as you will.)

And the customers still have a right to complain about shitty service. Which, given the daily number of queries I get for "UPS sucks", is apparently still the case. I wrote this post two years ago and no longer live in the United States, so I can't say anything more than that.
