Oy. The waking at 5:50 am has started in our house, too. Both boys. I know S went through a phase when he was about 13 months - he woke up at 5:00 am sharp every day. And now that Kees is heading to that 13 month age, I think he is prepping me for the worst. He already wakes up at 5:30ish most mornings. And he's in such a good mood - it irks me to no end.

I feel your pain, Krista. These days, both our girls wake up at 6AM sharp - every day, including holidays and weekends. It's mostly Fabiola (the younger one, who still sleeps with us) that wakes up exactly at that time - she starts talking in her own language (she's only 10 months old after all), and the moment one of us pays her any attention, the big smile comes out and she starts shrieking with excitement, which usually wakes up her big sister. I'm also really not a morning person, but she's so sweet and happy at that time, I can't help but smile and think to myself "it's just a phase" :-)
