I have been ashamed to be an American, while living abroad and looking through the eyes of my friends of many different nationalities. Krista, you turned me into an Obama believer (yes, it did take a while, but once I converted, I really worked hard to elect him also.) I think people need to realize that there are generations of citizens of the world that have such a negative opinion of the United States, and their opinions have been formed on really sound evidence that the US is truly an evil, oppressive and egotistical empire. I absolutely agree with you that in order to start to reclaim the part of our heritage that seeks honor and justice, we MUST prosecute those responsible for making America into a nation who has lost the respect of its citizens and treats its adversaries as less than humans.
