Wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii!!!!!!!!! (Er… ?????)

So, um… I’m getting a Wii after all. And a Wii Fit.

Wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii!!!

(Maybe)

Ok, so I’m a couple of years behind the curve, and I swore I wasn’t going to give in, but…

Wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii!!!

I haven’t had a game console since um… my Colecovision. Which was an Atari 2600 knockoff. In 1983.

I’m old.

But… um…

Wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii!!! (Yes, I know, you think I should get a PS3 or XBox 360, but I can’t afford more couch potato ass. That’s sort of the point.)

So, Wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii!! Well, except this… and this is where I solicit information from the Internets and will probably get no answer and just have to wait and see what happens.

EBGames/Gamestop (.com, not the store in the mall) offered Wii and Wii Fit bundles for preorder, shipping this Friday. Now, this is not about a launch, so it’s not the same thing as the usual preorder stuff, but nevertheless, there was an extremely cryptic bunch of crap about limited quantities and shipping on a first-come first-serve basis, and blah blah.

Now, they don’t charge my credit card until the order is prepared for shipping, and so I can cancel the order anytime, but I’m sort of wondering… does that message mean they take preorders until they have enough preorders to fulfill with the number of expected units coming from Nintendo, or do they just keep a huge rolling list of preorder backorders? Or do they just fulfill as possible and cancel all the rest?

In other words, if they took my preorder for the Wii, does this probably mean they’ll be shipping me a Wii on Friday, or does it probably mean I should have seen this “preorder” (sounds more to me like “backorder”) six months ago, and am going to get zip?

I actually mailed them asking, but if anyone has any experience with gamestop.com/ebgames.com preorders, I’d appreciate any translation of this cryptic crap I can get :)

Because, um, I want my Wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii!

(I’m bad, I know…)
