Week 35: Pumpkins! Pumpkins! Pumpkins!

34 weeks, 3 days: Part II.

In spite of the jerk who decided to post that I was a lard-ass in response to my last set of belly shots, I’m going to do something I haven’t done before – post real ones. To said jerk: you can bite my lard-filled hindquarters. This is my sandbox, not yours.

Anyway, dorkasses aside…

I actually used our new camcorder to make a little comparison video (and to test the thing out) of Christian’s big pumpkin which is now a Jack-O’-Lantern and of our little pumpkin (also now a Jack-O’-Lantern), but I don’t have time to figure out how to post that right now, so instead, I give you some still shots. I know I look dorky and I’m hanging out all over the place, but so what?

(Yes, I know I’m really fat. I’ve known that for a long time. I’ve gotten over it. I suggest you do the same. And I’m 8 months pregnant, so don’t mess with me.)

So, without further ado… (click any picture to see full-size)

Christian’s massive pumpkin!

Jack-O-Lantern 1

A close-up of said pumpkin:

Jack-O-Lantern 2

Both pumpkins together:

Small Monster Pumpkin and the Jack-O-Lantern

Our Small Pumpkin all by himself:

Small Monster-O-Lantern

And the shot that displays my lard ass in the clearest view (but also displays the size of my Small Monster belly most clearly):

Small Monster-O-Lantern from the side

And those, ladies and gentlemen, are probably the only real belly shots I’m going to show, precisely because of people like Mr. Lard Ass.

But I posted them – precisely because of people like Mr. Lard Ass. ;)

YES! I kept telling people I was going to paint my pregnant tummy like a pumpkin, and you actually did it!! You go girl! I applaud you.

    Also, in response to :

***(Yes, I know I’m really fat. I’ve known that for a long time. I’ve gotten over it. I suggest you do the same. And I’m 8 months pregnant, so don’t mess with me.)***

I hear you sister. Just because we are big girls, doesn’t mean we can’t show off our prego bellies just like the skinny minnies out there!!

  2. Margo says:

I LOVE THE PUMPKIN!!! My husband thinks it’s fabulous, too.

And as for Mr. Lardass: WTF?! To (totally misquote and) paraphrase Churchill (and then conflate him with Ron White): We can always lose weight. But you can’t fix stupid.

  3. Caley says:

I don’t care what size you are pre-pregnancy: any woman who is pregnant, shows off her pregnancy like you had the guts to do, and who clearly looks as happy and proud as you do (you can totally see it in your expression), is BEAUTIFUL.

Also, LOVE THE PUMPKIN BELLY! I did mine, too: http://caleyadams.wordpress.com/2007/10/24/one-of-these-things/

I thought about doing a belly cast, thought it might be kind of cool… but then I was like, um, what would I DO with the thing, afterwards? There’d be this creepy torso thing hanging around, and, what, do you hang it on your wall? Painting it seemed like a much better option.

  4. Mrs. Mustard says:

I had to scan back and see that someone actually had the nerve to comment “lard ass” of a pregnant woman’s belly. WTF?!
I love the pumpkin pictures. Never got to do that with Sacha, and this time around I am not really showing enough to do it. BOO!

  5. LaTasha says:

don`t listen to what people say. your a beatiuful woman. i`m not sure if you had your baby yet or not. but i`m sure that he/she will turn out to be a beatiuful baby.
