Well, I can finally post this horde of posts I’ve been holding back for the past month on this (click the picture for a good view):

Baby is the right size for 8 weeks, 2 days, has a nice heartbeat, and the cute little beginnings of a face. If you need context, the yolk sac is above, and the baby is facing toward the bottom of the picture (seen from the side) with its big ole’ head to the right.
Sure, I should have waited until the end of the first trimester, but I swear to God, this was the coolest thing I’ve ever seen in my life, and I’m not gonna pretend to the world that nothing’s going on. And the midwife seems to think the outlook looks pretty good. Nice strong heartbeat, and there’s only one in there. Yay!
I’ll say more about it later – but, well… we’re going to be parents! Be afraid!

Fortunately, the morning sickness is mild! What’s worse are the cravings. Like, I woke up at 8 this morning and started doing web searches for places nearby that serve enchiladas. It’s sick.
Oh, and you can set your alarm for sometime around December 9th, apparently, although since it’s my first, it’ll probably be late
Ok, back to bouncing off the walls…
